Since relocating to Nairobi from Dublin in early 2007, I have been coordinating development projects in Africa for the aid agency World Vision Ireland.

I look after projects in Kenya, Uganda and Somaliland (in North West Somalia). My work is all about partnering with local communities to provide water, education and healthcare to children and families in need.

I visit these projects regularly to ensure that money given to us by Irish child sponsors, the European Union and the Irish Government is spent as it was intended and the communities are happy with the results.

The past three years have been full of ups and downs, but life in Nairobi is never boring. I hope the same can be said for this blog!
